Kids and adults need to explore and get messy! Painting, building, and creating is a part of learning. Our art-focused activities aim to make memories. We want art to be fun and valuable for all ages. We are a low-stress option for events and also offer custom art.

“I’ve always had a strong interest in creating… painting and drawing at first. Creating things made me happy, but at some point it made me nervous. I wondered whether someone would ‘like’ my work. I even stopped some of my artwork in fear that the projects wouldn’t meet some ‘imaginary standard’. Why?? I’m not sure if it was the result of pressures to fit in as a teen or the fact that most kids liked sports while I would have rather been painting – but the pressure was real to me.”
“Now with children, I no longer see art as a restrictive label filled with self-doubt and pressure. Art is anything we create. (It’s funny how I didn’t learn that until I saw it through my children’s eyes). Art needs to be a source of joy….Calm and stress-free! I want to teach my children to use their curiosity to create without the worry of whether it always pleases others. The process of creating is as important, if not MORE important than the finished product. I want kids to think – and enjoy the thinking…. make – and enjoy the making. With The Art Cottage, I wanted to create an outlet to teach others and offer something for moms that is stress-free and affordable.”
“I have also enjoyed years of creating custom art. From murals to portraits, doorhangers to painting antique trucks… I’ve done a little bit of it all. Working with clients to create art for their homes, their schools, or churches makes my heart so happy. Lasting friendships have been formed, and I’m thankful for their support in pursuing my craft.”
“I hope we meet soon. Reach out if you have a project in mind – I’d love to get my hands dirty and be a part of it!”
